Comprehensive Evaluation and Treatment
Each workers’ comp patient at the Miami Institute for Joint Reconstruction will benefit from our comprehensive evaluation and treatment. Our team of skilled physicians fully understands the unique nature of workers’ compensation cases and utilizes the most advanced treatment techniques for shorter recovery times and faster healing. Our doctors produce concise exam notes, reliable reports, and treatment plans that focus on achieving maximum medical improvement (MMI) as quickly and safely as possible.
Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs)
IMEs are a critical step in determining return-to-work status, and they can be an integral component of workers’ compensation lawsuits. With orthopaedic surgeons who specialize in hand and upper extremity injuries, foot and ankle injuries, back and neck injuries, hip and knee injuries, and orthopedic trauma, the Miami Institute for Joint Reconstruction has a team that is well-qualified to conduct dependable IMEs. Following the IME, our workers’ comp coordinator will provide the doctor’s full report with the patient’s return-to-work status to the case manager.
Our Dedicated Workers’ Comp Team
While our doctors provide medical care to the injured worker, our dedicated workers’ comp team will keep you – the employer, insurer or case manager – apprised of the treatment plan, progress and status along the way. We understand the importance of timely appointments and communication, and we will do everything we can to get injured workers seen by a doctor as soon as possible and to help you streamline the claim. From scheduling appointments and IMEs to filling out forms and understanding the DWC-25, we’re here for you.
